Renpro (Project Renaissance) is a codename for a project to allow for: * A "reboot" of civilization in the event of societal collapse. * An artifact to leave behind for any intelligent life that comes across the ruins of human civilization. * A cultural and technological heirloom which preserves what is worth keeping about society. I envision it to start with information (data) as well and evolve to physical artifacts that contain that information, as well as other objects of use such as microprinted documents, solar-powered information retrieval devices, and a non-GMO seedbank. Basically the physical artifacts will be a sort of "seed" to allow you to bootstrap the whole library in stages. How is this different than Wikipedia? Try learning how to farm from wikipedia based on looking up agriculture. How is this different than archive.org? Most people won't have the technology to reimage the Internet if society collapses.
